Graduation

My daughter graduates from high school today at 2:00 p.m.

My sigh of relief is instantly replaced by impending dread for the next four years. Oh well, that’s life.

  1. Congrats to you and the mini-miss!

(((And big, big hugs for you.)))

  2. Pande,

I have found each step tough, but when my boy got married I cried like a baby. I hated to give him up, but it all worked out O.K. and we still see each other a lot.

He and I were a good two man Captain’s Choice team. By the time he was sixteen he could hit it 300 yards, but had a bit of a wild streak. I was not as long, but my temperament was steady as she goes. We won a bunch of times.

He was a good little banjo/mandolin/guitar player, too. I am proud to say I taught him.

Gotta let ’em go I guess, but it was hard. I don’t have any idea how I’ll give away my Miss Marie. I ain’t gonna think about that yet.

  3. Congrats to your daughter! You both made it through and neither of you killed the other!!!

You’ll have to give me tips, because I have two more years of this…

What college is she going to?

  4. It was rough, all right. I just said goodbye to the principal at the school, and she and I were amazed that we got to this point. As you know, Ms. Mini-D has a bit of a wild streak in her.

I don’t know if I’m the one anyone should ask for tips from. Just getting to point B without a major crash (like the first one), no jail time and no pregnancy was enough for me.

She’s going to a SoCal school, just outside of LA.

  5. Congrats!

So? Did she run the bases?

  6. 😛 NO!

  7. I aspire to those same parenting goals!

Two kids in CA- I see a pattern here. You’re trying to move to CA, aren’t you?

  8. 🙂

Why can’t my husband see that, oh heathenly one?

  9. It seems so early for graduations but I guess it’s THAT coast!

Congratulations to the Demonic Family! I know it takes the entire family to get them through it!
